Weekly update

Although I didn't do what I wanted, I can show some pieces.
First I worked on the Papillon SAL. I haven't stitched the specialty stitches yet, as I wanted to do them at a moment when my house was a bit quiet and I wasn't too tired. Both conditions seem not to have occurred together for some time now. Jo has at her blog a list of people that stitch this SAL. Would be nice if everyone subscribed:-)

I also worked on the Dawn of Spring Sampler. I got about halfway the spider stitches, so apart from half a row of spider stitches and my initials this part is done. The tenth of this month part three will be there, so I think I'll just carry on stitching  this. I love it, but the spider stitches weren't too easy.

I already showed the third project. It is the SAL ABC romantique (romantic ABC). I am halfway on this sampler, but received today the fourth (and last) part. A little speeding up might be necessary.

The last project are the Beach Huts by Maria Diaz. I'm doing this for a SAL  'en attendant les vacances' (waiting for summer) and for the theme-licious may memories month! I only stitched on it for two evenings, so I am glad I made some progress.

The last picture is something completely different. I doubted if I would show it, but then again, why wouldn't I? Sometimes you will notice me telling that I have been tired or haven't been able to do much. Sometimes I am a little behind when I want to send something.  You can see the reason for this in the last picture. Please don't pity me!!! Things are what they are, and I am a very happy, optimistic person, surrounded by wonderful and very dear friends, a fantastic hubby, very dear children and lots of very sweet family members. It's just that in my life there sometimes are practical problems (have to wait till hubby or my sis drives with me to the post office) and challenging health issues. I can walk , but only short walks and on the good days.

Lot of hugs to all of you,

The two first heart of Papillon SAL, without the specialty stitchest

This is me about a year ago in the Pantheon in Rome

Prachtige borduurwerken, 1 voor 1 even mooi.

Veel sterkte is vast niet altijd gemakkelijk.

Hello Dulcinella

Lovely progress with your SAL's.

I have a wheelchair for walking any distance so I know how you feel.

Happy stitching!

I know exactly what you mean about having a quiet house to stitch the Papillon SAL dulcinella. I am only stitching this at the weekend because I really need to concentrate on my counting. I'm not used to evenweave these days because I my eyes aren't up to too much close stitching, but I really love this SAL. Looking forward to seeing yours. I have subscribed on Jo's blog :)

Beautiful stitching. I'm especially looking forward to seeing more of your Papillon SAL. Romantique ABC has such lovely colours.

Pity is not the word that comes to mind when I saw that pic. Life's full of challenges and I think it shows strength of character to face them head on.

Hugs,
Veronica.

Great stitching! You have been busy ;0)
Go girl! Well done in taking advantage of all that life has to offer & if you need a helping hand (or chair) then why not take advantage of that too! ;0) hugs x

Lovely stitching!
I'm tempted to start the Papillion sal but will wait for new part to be realesed to see if I really like it or not .

Beautiful stitching! I just love the Papillon SAL - too bad I can't participate! :( Italy, I think, is one of my favorite places.

Your projects are all so wonderful as is your positive attitude :)

Very nice progress on your projects. You seem to love SALs and I must admit that they are really very motivating. I usually am much more committed when I stitch a piece SALing with one or more fellow stitchers. I particularly love the ABC Romantique.
Just keep your positive attitude towards life in general and in particular :))

Your progressing quite nicely on your projects. I am quite taken with your ABC Romantique. Very lovely! I love the colors in Beach Huts as well - blues are my favorites.
